View to the Garden- First of the Year!

As I was waiting to meet the kids off the bus just a few minutes ago, I thought I'd do a little garden leaf clean up and was surprised to see these little shoots sticking up:

I had to say I was surprised for two reasons- one it's only March 17th- and two I had forgotten I'd transplanted them there last Spring- so I'm glad they survived.
