"Ask Men" Provides a List of Stupid Wedding Customs
Admittedly there are a lot of wedding customs that are strange and some that have passed their prime. An article at the Askmen.com website highlights 10 of the most annoying and "dumb" customs that have some how survived to today.
Some of the culprits:
-Bachelor parties the night before the wedding- I have to agree. Any groom that thinks this is a good idea might not quite be ready for marriage.
-Baby Flower Girl/Ring Bearors- I disagree. Part of the joy of having kids is that you never quite know what they're going to do. Of course, this could just be the mom in me, but I think the shots of an upset ring bearor or wailing flower girl are absolutely precious and add personality to your wedding.
-Clinking of the glasses- hell yeah this is stupid. Nuff said.

CLINKING of Glasses!?! I like this one. My groom and I had so much fun racing toward one another during our reception! BUT, our party was so great that we were the last ones to leave! We smashed each other with cake while the guests sang- the groom eats the cake, etc..., then we did our own simulated strip tease while doing the garter and bouquet toss, we did it all! it was so fun! Could do it again!
