Spring always takes a little longer to get to Vermont than other parts of the US, and finally, today, we're going to be hitting almost 90 degrees. I can't wait to throw open the windows and doors and get out and enjoy some sun. Admittedly, the gerber daisy is not from my garden, but from a bouquet I made for my son's first communion a couple of weeks ago.
But this lonely little grape hyacinth is:
I transplated them from the middle of our lawn a number of years ago, but I don't think they get enough sun- so I only have two growing. Maybe next year they'll have more friends.
